Go bananas for Monkey Mayhem at Middleton Grange
Monkey Mayhem will be coming to Middleton Grange Shopping Centre this half-term, which promises a wild week of free activities and entertainment for children and adults.
Events swing into action from Tuesday 30 May until Saturday 3 June with a fun-packed monkey trail which requires visitors to find hidden monkeys in the centre for a chance to win voucher prizes. There will also be the opportunity to meet a very special guest – Chalkie the Chimp – an animatronic furry friend of the centre which talks, drives and has a cheeky sense of humour. Chalkie will be making an appearance from Tuesday through to Friday at 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm.
Customers are invited to the Jungle Creation Station on Friday and Saturday where they can enjoy making tree-mendous monkey art. This will form part of a display in the shopping centre and those that take part will each receive an inflatable monkey on a stick.
“Half-term is always a great opportunity for families to spend time together and as a hub for the local community we’re keen to offer plenty of holiday action for our shoppers and their own little monkeys,” said Mark Rycraft, Centre Manager at Middleton Grange. “Chalkie the Chimp will, no doubt, be a big hit as he’s quite a character. We’re looking forward to seeing the public’s reaction to him driving round the centre greeting shoppers.
“It’ll also be a wonderful opportunity for Hartlepool to put its creative flair to the test as we’ll be showcasing some of the art in the centre. There will be so much to keep everyone occupied making it a top day out for all the family.”
Monkey Mayhem takes places on Tuesday 30 May until Saturday 3 June and all activities are free-of-charge.
